PERIGUEUX
The Périgueux area is the leading economic area of the Dordogne, counting over 6,400 companies, 59% of which operate in the service industry. It covers a market of roughly 156,000 full-time inhabitants and the town of Périgueux welcomes over 100,000 tourists every year.
The Greater Périgueux Community (CAP) is currently developing a 54-hectare business park named “Créa@vallée”, which will include 4 hectares dedicated to hotels and restaurants. The CAP is actively looking for potential investors.
Located at the main crossroad of the Dordogne (motorway Bordeaux / Lyon and national road Bergerac / Limoges), the site will host the Dordogne Tourism Board as well as an information centre on tourism activities and know-how (including a +2,000 seat convention centre). Daily road traffic at this specific crossroad averages 25,000 vehicles.
MUSSIDAN
The town of Mussidan (3,000 full-time inhabitants with a further 10,000 inhabitant immediate en-catchment area) is located in the western part of the Dordogne, less than 30 minutes away from Bergerac airport, Périgueux and Libourne and one hour away from Bordeaux’s international airport. The area benefits from its location— surrounded by the two vast and prized woodland areas of “La Double” and “Le Landais”. It therefore attracts local residents and people from the nearby Bordeaux, as well as British residents and tourists.
A 15-hectare business park, located close to the Mussidan motorway exit, is currently being developed, out of which 1.5 hectares will be dedicated to a hotel and service centre. The municipality is currently looking for potential partners / investors to develop a 30 to 40 bedroom (2 to 3 stars) project. Targeted clients include businesses and individuals.
